Leaving….!

July 9th, 2007

This whole thing about leaving malaysia after such a short time. Makes me depressed. i thought i would be so much easier because i really didnt get to knw the people there. Actually i did get to knw them very well.

When i left sweden a year ago, i never believed it would be this hard to leave malaysia. I thought i would as easy as it was to leave sweden . That of course i would see them again and all . So it was nothing to worry about. But this whole thing abotu of course see them again is not a of course in Malaysia. At mkis people leave every year , so the folks that were my new friends , some of them was gonna leave to forgin countries and i am not going , maybe too see them i my whole life time again. This was a whole new thing for me , the feeling inside for this , is very depressed, it feels like u heart is gonna break but not because of someone u loved cheating on another . This is because , people u love so badly , are going to leave , You are going to leave to another country , and as we are still childeren/young adults , we might not see each other again. The one way we could see eachother again , Is if we keep really good contact with the once we care most about :) As most people in our school do, we are all very good  effectetive communicaters. Thats what the teacher wants us to be , and this proves to the headmaster that we are. We can stand people that we love to leave . That is quiet amazing i think. Leaving Mkis was a whole new expreince for me , and most for all new people at mkis i think. Something to learn for your whole life. A whole new consept of life :P

Game reflection

May 27th, 2007

This unite , we played a game in social, we had to role a dis and move around on the game board. We where 4 groups, each for one table. In the beginning everyone thought it was a competition, but Ms nash explained we had to research to find the answers and then write paragraphs to answer them. It was very interesting , because you felt a little bit under pressure you had to do it fast and interesting in writing , quiet a challenge.  I learned a lot of Florence in main , the city and it structured.  It was very interesting. In one question, we got 4 different places , and we got too see how they where connected, or we didn’t know they where , we had to write at a paragraph and say what so special about them. However, the special thing was that, three of those places was inside the fourth place. Everyone got very happy in my team when we found that out. This unit was very interesting and pleased. Not so hard after all writing :D

How are the two events connected?

Both are in Iraq. They are connected the way that the people of Iraq want the American soldiers to go home. That’s why now someone who is against the American government and their soldiers killed 5 people and probably kidnapped 3. The folks of Iraq is going to keep kill people, until United stated of America gives them a chance on there own.

What do you find interesting about this topic?

I think everything is interesting about Iraq and the war that is currently going on there. I think it is quiet sad that we don’t give them a chance, I think the world are to scared of what is going to happened if. Suicide bombers have to be the worst job someone can have, I still don’t understand why people do it. That’s one thing I think interesting. What they do it for? People getting killed are not that interesting, it is very sad actually. However, mostly I am thinking about the kids who this is there day, to see people getting killed. It is very interesting to see how the world is going to solve a world problem.

What did you like about the presentation?

It was very pleased to hear how she would speak to George Bush, because most children would not give that as a solution. How Iraq would be a better country. The whole concept about how she would speak with him was very interesting and fun to listen to. In real situation he wouldn’t listen to her, but it is so fun to hear what people around the world would like to say to the president of the untied sates. Also, her talking about what families needs and how a normal life should be was interesting. Her topic was daily news now days, but maybe as she says in the future this could stop.

This is what I learned from each person. It was a very interesting class after all problems with my interview. I think it is good to know those thing to the future, so you know what you should do and not to do. Example a lot of people in the Renisannce got famouse for books and plays. When we are the past, people in the future is going to be reminding of us because of TV shows and movies, Maybe books too someday.

#2. What would you change to improve your interview/presentation if you were to do the assignment again?

I would have used my time better when it was time to record, but I think it was not my fault. However, it might have been. The interview I could have gotten someone else then my little sister to record it, because her English talk is not that good.  I am very glad that my little sister did it after all, because she sounded like a excited news reporter.

A anti- u.s demonstration in Iraq. http://www.expose-the-war-profiteers.org/DOD/iraq_II_videos/air_attack_al_mahdi_files/air-attack-3.jpg

What is the issue?

A suicide bomber struck a crowd of funeral mourners Monday north of Baghdad, taking more then 30 lives at the end of one of the deadliest months of the war so far for U.S. forces. At least 104 American troops were reported killed in April. Still American Government and George Bush send more troops to Iraq, because they want to get control over the situation, but they are the one that causes it. This month was the sixth highest figure for a single month since the war started in March 2003. Bush is now planning sending 30,000 extra soldiers to Iraq.

Who is involved?

U.s.a, U.s.a Government, soldiers in Iraq, Iraq government, Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

Who is affected and how?

Mostly the American soldiers and the people of Iraq are affected because they are the one that get killed. The American government is affected because they are sending more people to Iraq, so more of the population in America gets affected. Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds are affected because they are the one the Iraq government mostly think, it’s bombing.

What would I do if I was directly involved?

I would arrange a meeting with the Iraq government and the American Government, so they can talk about what they should do. Later when they feel they are ready, I should take a little amount of people from Sunnis, Shiites and Kurds to join the meeting. They would hopefully get a good decision and no more people need to be sending to Iraq, and other countries soldiers can go home.

Renaissance Person

April 11th, 2007

Alfred Nobel, He has been called one of the biggest inventors in the world history! And the most people in world know who he is! Alfred Bernhard Nobel was born in Stockholm in 21 oktober, 1833, the name Nobel comes from the word Nobelius, which is the name for he relative’s hometown Nöbbelöv in Latin in the 1600-talets Skåne. His dad, Immanuel Nobel, was a self-taught, inventor and engineer. He had a Company, that build bridgers and houses in Stockholm. Immanuel grew up in a poor family and didn’t have enough money with a good education. When he was 14 years old he became a sailor. Alfreds mother, Andrietta Nobel, came from a rich family named Ahlsell. Alfreds return to Stockholm in 1863, from Russia, he started to concentrate to develop nitroglycerin, as an Explode substance. A majority explosion of which one in 1864 when his brother Emil and some other people died, that convinced the Swedish authority, that nitroglycerin manufacture was very dangerous. They forbade continuing the experiment with nitroglycerin inside Stockholm’s city border began in 1864 mass production of nitroglycerin in Alfreds laboratory. After a while Alfred invented explode oil, that nitroglycerine was called, it was not that good, that he thought. It was very volatile and couldn’t go long distances. It was nothing else for Alfred to do then to go into the laboratory again. This time on a river in German, Alfred now tried with different substances in the explode oil, for example, carbon, sawdust, cement and also mortar, but nothing worked. Then he took sand from the bottom of the river, and mixed it with the oil. Now was the dynamite invented! And a lot of countries wanted to buy the powerful substance. This is why he is a Renaissance person, which has a powerful knowledge. And we should remember him in the future. For our problems and experiments .

Title of article: Another Earthquake Hits Indonesia

Web side title: BBC

Date published: 7 march

Webb side address: http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/programmes/newshour/news/story/2007/03/070307_indo_quake.shtml

Date I looked at the site: 12 march 2007

What new information has emerged?

You get a lot of new information that, nature disaster have been a problem in Indonesia since the tsunami. A lot of people are involved in the different disasters and everyone is trying their best to get a control over how many people have died in the last 3 years in Indonesia / Asia. After this earthquake a lot of hospitals are full and people that are hurt have no were to go, and if they put in more people at the hospitals, different diseases can be spread. People can get dire and a lot of things that just makes it worst when you are already sick.

What did you find interesting about this topic?

This topic makes me scared, because I am really scared that it is going to be one near where I live and I might get hurt. This is not a big chance it happens. This topic makes me interesting, because the people in Indonesia have such bad luck. I think a lot of people are trying to move away from there, because of all the things that happens there. It makes me want to read more about, how they feel no after. The people that are journalists never go when everything is fine and talk about how they feel afterwards. This makes me sad. It is quiet interesting that all those things just happen in Indonesia, but it is just probably chosen to be a dangerous place.

What did you like about the initial blog posting?

About victor presentation, was that it was really easy to understand. However, we live near this place so it became a lot of interesting discussions afterwards about if u felt it or not. Victor doesn’t have a blog, so I can’t really say how it looks like. Anyway, it was really easy to understand and really important to know.

Are there people today willing to give up their lives for a cause they believe in?

February 26th, 2007

Yes, some are. The people that crashed  in world trade center. Took their life’s what they believe. They believed that U.S was wrong and wanted something to happened.  People that are in car bombing also take their life’s for what they believe in.People in Iraq believe in a better country , so they kill the people that makes the country bad. This is not only about religion.
